Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL), a listed premier Miniratna Company of Government of India,invites Online Applications from Indian citizens fulfilling the eligibility requirements, for filling up of the following Workmen posts on contract basis for CSL:
Sheet Metal Worker
- Pass in SSLC and ITI – NTC (National Trade Certificate) in the trade of Sheet Metal Worker or Fitter.
- Minimum of three years post qualification experience / training in fabrication, i.e. cutting, fit up and welding process.
Welder
- Pass in SSLC and ITI – NTC (National Trade Certificate) in the trade of Welder/ Welder (Gas & Electric).
- Minimum of three years post qualification experience / training in the relevant trade.
OUTFIT ASSISTANTS ON CONTRACT
Fitter
- Pass in SSLC and ITI – NTC (National Trade Certificate) in the trade of Fitter.
- Minimum of three years post qualification experience /training in the relevant trade.
Mechanic Diesel
- Pass in SSLC and ITI – NTC (National Trade Certificate) in the trade of Mechanic Diesel.
- Minimum of three years post qualification experience / training in the relevant trade.
Mechanic Motor Vehicle
- Pass in SSLC and ITI – NTC (National Trade Certificate) in the trade of Mechanic Motor Vehicle. Minimum of three years post qualification experience / training in the relevant trade.
Plumber
- Pass in SSLC and ITI – NTC (National Trade Certificate) in the trade Plumber.
- Minimum of three years post qualification experience / training in the relevant trade.
Painter
- Pass in SSLC and ITI – NTC (National Trade Certificate) in the trade of Painter.
- Minimum of three years post qualification experience / training in the relevant trade.
Electrician
- Pass in SSLC and ITI – NTC (National Trade Certificate) in the trade of Electrician.
- Minimum of three years post qualification experience / training in the relevant trade.
Electronic Mechanic
- Pass in SSLC and ITI – NTC (National Trade Certificate) in the trade of Electronic Mechanic.
- Minimum of three years post qualification experience /training in the relevant trade.
Instrument Mechanic
- Pass in SSLC and ITI – NTC (National Trade Certificate) in the trade of Instrument Mechanic.
- Minimum of three years post qualification experience /training in the relevant trade.
Shipwright Wood
- Pass in SSLC and ITI – NTC (National Trade Certificate) in the trade of Shipwright Wood or Carpenter.
- Minimum of three years post qualification experience /training in the relevant trade.
Period of Contract:
All posts above are temporary in nature and for a maximum period of three years subject to project requirements and individual performance.
Remuneration
The remuneration details for all the posts are as under:
- 1st year ₹ 23300/- ₹ 4900/-
- 2nd year ₹ 24000/- ₹ 5000/-
- 3rd year ₹ 24800/- ₹ 5100/
Age Limit :
a) The upper age limit prescribed for all the posts shall not exceed 30 years as on 28 July 2023, i.e. applicants should be born on or after 29 July 1993.
b) The upper age limit is relaxable by 3 years for OBC (Non Creamy Layer) candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates in posts reserved for them.
Application Fee
(i) Application fee of ₹ 600/- (Non refundable, plus bank charges extra) should be remitted using the Online payment options (Debit card/Credit card/Internet Banking/Wallets/ UPI etc) which can be accessed through our Online application facility from 14 July 2023to 28 July 2023. No other mode of payment shall be accepted.
(ii) Applicants belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST)/ Person with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) need not pay application fee. They are exempted from payment of application fee.

(i) Applicants should go to the website www.cochinshipyard.in (Career page CSL, Kochi) and proceed to the link for online application. The application consists of two phases –Registration and Submission of application. Applicants should not submit more than one application to the same post. Application once submitted shall be final.
